About the project
The Tilbrook CSG pilot is located 60km to the south of Collinsville, adjacent to the Moranbah to Townsville gas pipeline.
The coal seams of the target Moranbah Coal Measures in this area lie at depths between 300m and 600m and contain between 7m and 15m of gas-bearing coal seams.
Initial reserve certification of 76 PJ of 3P gas reserves (WestSide share) was achieved in June 2009.
A dual-lateral horizontal well was completed in June 2009, accessing over 2,000 m of coal in the P coal seam. Pilot production testing is underway, with gas flows increasing to 340,000 scfd. Testing is continuing.
The northern part of the ATP688P tenement is estimated to contain a further 1,322 bcf of gas-in-place (WestSide share). This is being appraised by exploration wells at Bald Hill and Mount Saint Martin.
