Sweet treats at the Moura Christmas Street Party

Westside is pleased to support the Moura Christmas Street Party by contributing to the Fire and Rescue Services lolly drop.

Santa’s sleigh was the Moura Fire Truck, which was escorted by local police and followed by ambulance and SES services down every street in Moura to drop off bags of lollies to eager residents waiting outside on the street.

Westside staff must have been on Santa’s ‘nice’ list this year – his first stop was the Westside office, where he wished us all a Merry Christmas and collected the lollies before making his trip.

Santa was his jolly old self even though it was over 38°C that afternoon.

Westside helps Moura Tigers kick off the season in style

Westside recently sponsored Moura Tigers Junior Rugby League by providing the new team shirts for the upcoming season.

As a thank you, the team presented Westside’s Facilities Manager Colin Palamald and Administration Officer Crystal Bellert with a team shirt each to take home.

Westside’s CEO Matt Wallach said “Westside is proud to support the Moura community by supporting grassroots rugby in the region. The Moura Junior Tigers are kitted out and ready for a strong upcoming season.”

“The Tigers will now be able to compete in the upcoming competition, which opens up opportunities for the kids in the future, with the  great lessons of sportsmanship, teamwork and leadership that rugby offers.

“The team at Westside wishes the Tigers all the best for the season.”

Moura Tigers will play their first game of the season after Easter school holidays in 2020.

Bringing Back the Banana Races

Westside was pleased to support the Banana Picnic Race Day, which took place on Derby Day, Saturday 2 November.

The race track was recently refurbished, making it the first race day in 15 years!

It was a great day out, with local horses racing in 200m time trials, fashions on the field, live music, food vans and a jumping castle and face painting for the kids.
